New Date: July 10-14, 2017

St. Louise Church holds a Vacation Bible School every year for Kindergarten and elementary aged children  (this year it's July 10-14 from 9 a.m. – noon each day).  It is an ecumenical VBS program in collaboration with Cross of Christ Lutheran Church and the Church of the Resurrection Episcopal Church.

Our Vacation Bible School is a fun week of memorable Scripture based activities for children in kindergarten and elementary grades.  Each day kids will sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, break for a snack, take on a Daily Challenge to celebrate God’s love, experience electrifying Bible adventures and create crafts they’ll have fun making and taking home.

The VBS 2017 Registration Form is HERE.

For more information, contact Geri Hanley in the parish office at 425-747-4450, or geri@stlouise.org .

How to Serve with Vacation Bible School:

Being a part of Vacation Bible School is fun! We provide a training in May. There are many service opportunities.

  • As a teacher, you are asked to share your faith with the children using the VBS curricula materials. You would commit to reviewing the curricula, conducting the class, overseeing the volunteers and straightening up afterwards. You might be asked to come in costume as appropriate. Expect to spend 20 hours plus preparation time.
  • Student volunteers from junior and senior High School assist the teachers, help with crafts and run stations. Students are asked to commit to attending all scheduled sessions. Expect to spend 15 hours at VBS.
  • Project/craft assistants prepare craft materials prior to VBS week. The curricula materials provide instructions for hands-on projects. Project/craft assistants assemble craft materials, cut out forms, and generally set up projects or stations.
  • Administrative volunteers who work with Geri Hanley to set the week up might help with registration, on a wide variety of projects from office tasks to helping at fun events.

All are welcome to be a part of VBS. Teachers and adult teaching assistants must undergo a voluntary background check and participate in Safe Environment Training.
