News and Events

The New Bethlehem Project homeless shelter made the news,
in the Kirkland Reporter:
The 100-bed shelter will offer services including on-site case management, housing navigation, access to several service providers and other amenities.
Those involved with the project do not see the shelter as a solution to homelessness but rather a positive and necessary step.
It’s a great story about how much this entire community cares and wants to do something, Their values are what drive it and enable all of us to work together.

New Direction for Parish - From Maintanence to Mission

Leadership and "The Way ahead" documents

Flowing from our new Mission Statement: Ignite Faith and Witness God's Love, and as a part of our eight-point Strategic Plan, our parish staff and the councils and commissions are working to implement a new structure for the staff and the councils and commissions. Some of the changes are immediate, and others will be implemented over time. You will find the changes detailed in two documents that you can read on our website, Parish Leadership" and "The Way Ahead.” You can also read Fr. Gary's State of the Parish homily here that he shared the weekend of January 21 & 22, 2017.

How does God want you to use your gifts?

Every person has a vocation, a way God is calling them to love.
Discernment is the process by which you discover God's will and plan for you.
Maybe you are discerning your vocation within the church, and are wondering if you are called to the priesthood. Read on. There are many resources here that can help.

A Personal Holy Week Retreat

A spiritual retreat is an intentional time away from the distractions of everyday life to experience a new awareness of the presence of God. We all have a need to periodically “get away,” but we can’t always physically do so. This webpage uses the activities of Holy Week to help you make a self-directed retreat – without leaving for a week or a weekend physically away.

Holy Week, which was first celebrated in the Middle Ages to follow the footsteps of Jesus during His Passion, is a wonderful backdrop for your personal retreat. From His triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday to His glorious resurrection on Easter Sunday, Holy Week is filled with opportunities for a closer encounter with God.

This retreat sets the stage for you with a short explanation of what Catholics believe historically happened on each day during of the week of Jesus’ Passion, a link to the Gospel reading for the day, and a couple of questions you may use for reflection.
