Description: Communal gathering of ecumenical and interreligious communities, especially those sharing in Covenant, to hear speakers present for about 1 hour on a wide range of topics, some directly religious in nature, some focused on current affairs topics, some focused on aspects of history. Over the years there have been such subjects as “Climate Change and Our Responsibilities as People of Faith”, “An Overview of the Japanese-American Internment’s Impact in Washington and in Bellevue,” ”What’s Inside the Bible,” “A Brief History of Ecumenical and Interfaith Efforts in Western Washington,” “Understanding Islam,” and “Christianity’s Jewish Ancestors in Faith,” among many others. Speakers have been experts in their field and have included rabbis, priests, ministers, imams, university faculty, media figures and police chiefs. The Forum is presented without charge to attendees, though a free-will offering for Hearts and Hammers is welcome.
