The Indian Ethnic community at St. Louise brings together Catholic families from India who are interested in sharing their faith and fellowship through religious and wholesome fun activities year round.
The focus of the Indian community:
Welcome and help Indian ethnic people to the parish.
Provide an environment to engage with other Catholic Indians, their families and friends to feel home.
Monthly potlucks meetings with prayer/rosary, sharing general information, fun activities for adults and kids, potluck dinner.
3 Picnics/day trips during summer where we spend a day together having all fun activities.
Camping (2 nights) in summer.
Christmas celebration in December.
Activities to encourage kids talents and an environment for kids to have a mix of catholic faith, Indian ethnicity and fun.
Engage with Parish and celebrate the diversity of parish:
Celebrate "Our Lady of Velankanni" feast with all parishioners by Hosting it with novena, feast mass and meal.
Indians Choir to sing on the Sunday masses.
Contribute and participate in parish ethnic festival.
Engage/participate in all commissions, missions and communities. (e.g. Liturgy commission, Social concerns)
Services:
Serve meals to the homeless.Christmas caroling at community centers like elders, homeless, etc.
India outreach (through social concerns) to help the non profit organization that are in financial need.
Participate in many of the parish service opportunities.
