Thanksgiving Eve Annual Community Gathering (Wednesday night before Thanksgiving)
Description: This is a long-running traditional prayer-and song-inspired celebration in our community, by our community. Neighbors of all faith traditions come together on the night before to celebrate our American Thanksgiving holiday and to give thanks, each in our own way, bringing a prayer or song or reflection from each of our traditions. Thanksgiving Day is often a busy day for everyone – preparing meals, entertaining guests, last minute preparations. This time before the rush gives us pause to reflect and to offer thanks with our neighbors. See and hear the visible progress of cooperation, respect and hope in our local community. Refreshments and fellowship follow after the service.
